Using SkyDrive

Windows 8.1 is closely integrated with SkyDrive, Microsoft’s online storage service. If you have files stored in your SkyDrive, you’ll be able to access them easily with Windows 8. SkyDrive gives you 7 gigabytes of storage space free of charge, you can purchase more space if you need it.

If you are using a desktop or laptop PC then I would suggest you access your skydrive from your desktop. It is a lot easier to work on the desktop version using a mouse than the start screen app.
